Texas French Bread

I recently did a series of photos for Texas French Bread’s web site that was redesigned by Leslie Williams. The café has a long history in Austin, but what’s new is their Dinner Menu at the Rio Grande location. It’s a unique local source menu that you’ll find both delicious and conscientious at the same time. My personal favorite →

Noble Dog CD cover

I recently shot the cover photo for Noble Dog’s debut CD. I wanted to capture the Americana/ southern roots feel of the band with the image. The fact that these guys have a marathon gig schedules also lent meaning to the worn out stage theme. The photo was shot at the mean eyed cat on west 5th street in →

First Night Austin photos

First Night is self described as a public celebration of the arts that revives the ancient tradition of marking the passage of time with art, ritual, and festivity. This is the third year Austin’s made a stab at the new year’s celebration, and it feels like it’s starting to take on the Austin ethos. The Grand Procession parade took place →

Obama – Clinton Debate in Austin

CNN ran the Clinton/ Obama debate like a military operation. The photogs were lined up single file into two groups - the Regualar photographers (ie. Getty, NYTimes, etc) and the other 20 or so they let in to shoot "the Spray" - and the rest were turned away. Security was tight, anyone who "touched" the stage would be taken →

Happy New Year

Since it’s the season for resolutions, literal or otherwise. Here are a few photos from a marketing campaign I shot a couple weeks ago for Blue Shoe Marketing’s client Pure Austin Gym. The 2 story rock wall was the most fun and required some experiments in the strobe positioning.

I took some interesting photos of Christmas light last night with a canon 100 2.8 macro lens last night. I might use these as a christmas card.
