So Cal Photos and the Canon 50 1.2 L

I just got back from a week in Southern California, splitting my time between family and friends in Santa Barbara and Laguna Beach. The Canon 50 1.2L was the only lens I took on my camera, with the intention of shooting a lot of photos and being able to assess it’s limitations and decide wither or not to keep it.

I really like the lens. It’s not as glowy as the 85 1.2L, but the focal length is great for photojournalist style shots. But because of the widely documented back focusing problem I was experiencing, I decided to send it back and see if I could get one that was a little sharper (and focused correctly as short distances)
