Here are a couple of great videos showing the depth of Annie Leibovitz’s career. The first going on tour with the run away train that was the Rolling Stones 75 tour, and the second one shooting Queen Elizabeth last month.
She really seems to master the fine line between artist with a camera and “celebrity photographer” She’s also got the people skills you don’t learn from a text book. I’m drawn to the dark and brooding nature of the photographs which contradict the whole celerity genre, but may more accurately reflect the true nature of the subjects.
